Title: Intermittent “Static sound” on Left Channel
Post by: roycruz23 on December 02, 2022, 05:21:49 PM
Hi! I am experiencing intermittent “static sound” (like popping sound of a dirty record/vinyl).
The sound is not really that bad when playing on my preferred level.

One channel, or both? If it's one channel, swap the tubes to see if it follows the tube.

You might need to clean the tube pins. Or just try removing and inserting them a few tims...John

I tried to switch tubes but it is still there on left channel.
The static sound starts 3-5 minutes after switching on the amp.
It goes up when I turn up the volume but is not affected by
turning the balance pot L or R.

This could easily just be a flaky solder joint or loose connection in your Moreplay.

I think I found the “cold solder”. I reflowed it and now static is gone so far.
It was at the A4 socket terminal. Thank you people!
