Title: BeePre in front of Crack headphones amp

I thought this day would have never arrived but due to a new baby arrival, Iâ€™m now looking to put together an headphones set up.
I currently run a turntable and a cd player into a beepre2 (the turntable goes first into an Eros 2).
The BeePre is hooked up to a Kaiju. Kaiju goes to speakers.

My 2 questions:
- where would the crack need to be in the chain? Can I use the BeePre in front as a pre amp? In this way I can use the BeePre selector between turntable and cd player which would be handy.
- any recommendation on good headphones in the $100-350 range that would pair well with the crack?

Post by: Paul Birkeland on April 01, 2023, 05:24:48 AM: Yes, you can do that with the BeePre 2 more easily than the BeePre 1. You'll likely find that the volume control on the Crack has to be set just right for things to work well in terms of noise and gain.

You could also add a set of tape outputs from the BeePre as well. It's not all that tough to add a set of RCA jacks into the wood base.
