Title: Failed Voltage Check :( [resolved]
Post by: EDick on August 19, 2023, 07:29:15 PM
Good evening folks!

Assembly went pretty smoothly, resistance checks were A-OK after reflowing one joint. Voltage checks went as follows:

1   -.757
2   -.64
3   0
4   -0.64
5   -.734
6   0
7   .058
8   0
9   .0113
10   0

Also, tubes were warming up but no LED lighting.

Thanks in advance!

What DC voltage do you have on terminal 13?

13 is reading about 12mV, then it slowly climbs

Do the tubes still glow?  Can you post some build pictures?  What are the DC voltages at terminals 15 and 21?

Sure thing, T15 & T21 read -0.634V & currently it looks like the tubes aren’t lighting up anymore. They were fine during the initial check and the 6080 is decently warm but not hot like under normal operation.

I took some pictures but I’m working on converting them so I can add those in a bit.

Thanks!

Power transformer terminal 11 red wire is not running to the correct position.  50/50 that this would cause your fuse to blow.
