No affiliation but 0.22uF@1000V. These monsters (110mm long/42mm wide) would have the surge voltage needed in anything Bottlehead we build. Paul wants a healthy voltage rating for surge voltages. And that makes for increased reliability.

I think it is $16 a pair so with shipping that is only $17 each. I have asked the seller.
Edit:
I have it confirmed, the price per capacitor is $8 and shipping for a pair is $18.
The dimensions in US terms are 4.33 inches long and 1.65 inches wide.

Thanks for the heads up Grainger!
I've got a bunch of the .1uF but I'll order some of those rather than combining two.
-
That voltage rating is good for the SEX, Paramount, Paramour and Eros.

I checked for a total price with shipping to California for 12. I was totally confused by the ad and after the his email, I'm still confused. But the bottom line is that 12 will be $153 with $65 of that being shipping (shipping for a pair is $18).
That's twice as many as I really need so I think I'll just order 6 and hope that these come up for sale again when I'm a little more flush.
If anyone wants to go in with me and add to my order, PM me. I won't order till 11/08/2009 about 9pm pst.

That's a .22 1200v Mundorf Silver Oil (black) in front. Two .1uF K72's. An EF806/86 in the middle. A .22uF 1000v K40 PIO right front.
Time ta get out the ole' holiday shoehorn!
Have a great turkey day folks!

For any power supply nut cases out there :^) check out the CDE 947C series. 6.7" long, 3.6" diameter. 730uF at 800vDC, polypropylene dielectric. Or 320uF at 1200v if you like a safety factor...

I was thinking in terms of interstage or output capacitors.

The electronics design lab I work in just got some .1 Farad @ 300V caps in the other day from a laser-engineering firm on surplus. They're about the size of a loaf of bread and weigh about 8lbs each. I'd like to see ssssly get some of those in a SEX chassis.

Yo Max,
Resist the temptation, no matter how strong it may be, to touch your tongue to the terminals.
-
I'll try my best. When they come from the factory with a solid copper bar across the terminals to discharge them, it seems like serious business.
