Title: Is using RCA short plugs on inputs safe?
Post by: ipetruk on November 23, 2023, 10:02:49 AM
It should be, I think, but I want to double-check.

I'd like to do it for aesthetic reasons mostly. In theory it should reduce noise if inputs cross-talk and some are unused, but they don't really do that in my case. I have Crack and Mainline. I've modded Crack by embedding the DAC, but it still has unused original input RCAs behind a switch.

Also, in case you know, is it safe to use those on COAX inputs in DACs, also mostly for aesthetics.

Thanks!

None of our products are bothered by shorting plugs on the inputs.
