Title: Wood glue, epoxy, or something else for BH Crack custom feet
Post by: Colonl_Charisma on January 29, 2024, 09:55:51 AM
Hi everyone,

I'm finally getting around to staining and creating a new wood box for my BH Crack (I'll post pics when finished!).

I have screwed the cone feet into solid wood squares, and I want to apply them to the corners inside the wood box (photos attached). These were bought due to the height it provides to my amplifier since it is modded.

Would you recommend wood glue, epoxy, or something else during attachment? I have Elmer's wood glue and JB Weld epoxy.

I've done the same for a Seductor build, wood glue has held up fine (contact surfaces roughed up with 80 grit) My experience and $0.02 - you do you. Please post photos when you finish.

Thanks, Karl! Wood glue it is. I'll be sure to roughen contact surfaces with 80 grit sandpaper. Thanks for the useful tip.

Wood glue and a little clamping force should be adequate for those to adhere nicely.

Thanks, PB! I'll be sure to add a clamp to them while the wood glue dries.
