Looking forward to ordering the Moreplay Upgrade Kit when the new stock hits the shelves. I'm interested if there are caps or resistors on the upgrade board that would benefit from upgrading? If so I'll stock up so I'm ready for the upgrade.
Second question regarding placement of the upgrade board in the chassis. My Moreplay will be receiving some huge output coupling caps during the upgrade, Audyn True copper 2.2uf, that will be tough to fit with the standard location of the upgrade board. Is the any cautions I should observe if I relocate the board? I'm currently leaning towards mounting it over the in/out RCA jacks, because my chassis plate is 10X10 so I have quite a bit of real estate in that area.

You will lose the 3 lug strips behind the sockets when you add the upgrade, and those caps can be relocated into the space where those terminal strips currently live (provided the leads are still relatively long).

Thanks Paul, I will try that.
I'm also interested if there are caps or resistors on the upgrade board that would benefit from upgrading?

I couldn't really think of any off the top of my head. You could put a nicer 2.2uF cap on there if you'd like.

Thanks Paul. I'll see if I can shoehorn in one of the Audyn Cap Plus's. I'm replacing them with the Audyn True coppers, so they will be surplus.

Do you have any "after" pics you could post of that build/upgrade,
I just got my upgrade kit and I'm trying to figure out how to stash my big Superior-Z's.

Here's an after pic and notes on my modifications I made during the installation: Please note that I am using a larger custom made chassis plate that is 10X10 rather than the standard 10X8 plate.
1) On the new board I used a surplus Audyn Cap Plus 2.2 uF 800V in the board's C-byp location which calls for a 2.2uF 250V cap. I ended up mounting the Audyn cap vertically because of the tight space. That worked out fine..
2) I replaced the C-out output caps on the Moreplay with Audyn True Copper Cap 2.2uF 630V Copper Foil Capacitors, which are huge! To make room for them I mounted the upgrade board off the tube socket mounting screws. The right screw on each socket looking at the backside of the chassis plate. I used nylon self-adhesive nylon tie anchors and zip ties to secure them.

Thanks for the pic. Those caps certainly look like they should sound better!
Creative solutions to a spatial challenge. Well done.
