Title: Pipette: Thoughts, Wall Mount v. Freestanding?
Post by: rsmiii on June 15, 2025, 09:08:22 AM
Experimenting now with my Pipettes (no subwoofers, yet ...) coupled with both my Stereomour II and Bee Pree 2 / Kaiju.

Thoughts on whether Pipettes sound better mounted flush against a wall, or free standing?

I understand, generally, depends upon room size, characteristics, listening preferences, etc.
But, please, inviting your general observations on what the Pipettes "like."

When we measured on a big wall with no corners nearby the response was ever so slightly smoother than it was freestanding. But yeah, given the differences from room to room you have to try it both ways and judge for yourself. If you have no plans for a subwoofer there is a good argument for locating them in corners for a little upper/mid bass boost.
