Title: Goldpoint wiring help
Post by: pro_crip on March 22, 2011, 08:51:00 AM
I've started doing the STP wiring to the selector switch and attenuators, all Goldpoint. The problem is I don't know what goes where. Do I string all the right side input jack ground lugs together into the c hole on the "right" side of the the input of the switch and run the center jack to their respective hole on the selector. Then how do I wire the output to the attenuator (also Goldpoint)?  How do I figure out where left, right, input and output are on these buggers? Yes, I've already emailed Arn over at Goldpoint asking for help, I thought a shotgun approach might be a better approach. I'm knackered, off to the land of nod. Thanks for listening.

Goldpoint has a lot of helpful schematics for all the different volume/selector wiring options.

The Passive Preamp and Passive Line Stage diagram sounds the most like what you'll be doing.

This thread has build pictures using the Goldpoints. I found looking at it useful when I upgraded my attenuators.
