Title: Can a 0.1uf 200V cap parallel with output cap ?
Post by: jamestw on May 29, 2011, 07:51:09 AM
I am wondering can I add Russian teflon caps, FT-2, 0.1uf 200v to my Seduction to parallel with 0.47uf output caps ?
Does this will affect the Seduction sound or the frequency response ?

Many thanks for your answer/help :-)

200 volts is an adequate rating for Seduction. It won't affect the measured response in any meaningful way, but you are likely to notice some change to the sound. Remember that teflon caps take a couple hundred hours of music to break in!

Thanks, PJ. then I'll do the parallel caps tonight :-)
Also many thanks for this excellent phono preamp, Seduction is so wonderful I have life with it more than 3 months and find I can not go back with previous phono stage that build-in in my receiver amp !

I did and liked the results.  I used the exact same caps you are using and they are still wired in today.  Of course, I suggest breaking in all Teflon caps first.
