Hey all,
Have been building the crack for the past couple of weekends and have had a lot of fun.
When I switched the power on for the first time, I measured some values that were off but still decided to plug my headphones in. I had no sound through the right channel. When I remeasured, I noticed that the LED that connects center pin and A8 did not burn like the other one.
I have resoldered almost all of my connections, went over all of the connections with a resistance meter to see if they were connected correctly but that little LED just doesn't want to start burning. I'm starting to think that the LED might be broken but am aware of my own slopiness and realize that I might have overlooked something.
Have also been reading the forums a lot and have read about a couple of cases matching mine (LED + right channel), by now, I have been reading and trying so many different things that I can't really say what I have tried and what I haven't tried :D
Anyway, here are the measures:
Terminal Resistance
------- ---------
1 256k
2 230k
3 0
4 133k (slowly keeps climbing up as long as I hold the pin to it, it seems)
5 same as above, started at 220k
6 2.49k
7 2.92k
8 0
9 3.01k
10 2.4k
12 0
13 climbs to 270k as described
14 0
20 0
22 0
B3 2.93k
B6 3.01k
After all of these measures, I remeasured 1 2 3 4 5 and now, instead of slowly climbing, they were slowly dropping from very high resistanced (1 started at 1.6M dropping very fast, slowing down around 600k)
Terminal Voltage
-------- -------
1 145 NOK
2 164.4
3 0
4 164
5 85.1
6 0
7 144.6 NOK
9 107.4
10 0
11 0
12 0
13 163.9
14 0
15 187.3
20 0
21 211
A1 84.5
A2 0
A3 1.523
A4 0
A5 0
A6 144.6 NOK
A8 10.94 NOK
A9 0.1x, jumps up and down around 0
B1 143.6 NOK
B2 163
B3 143.9 NOK
B4 84.1
B5 163
B6 106.6
B7 0
B8 0
Thanks in advance

Unfortunately my computer that has easy access to manuals is down at the moment so I don't have terminal numbers for you, but double check the orientation of the silver end of the LED at A8, and make sure the connections at A6 and A7 are correct, then work out from those terminals to check the connections at the other end of the stuff attached to them. If everything looks OK we can certainly send you another LED to try. Note that we will be out of the office from this Friday through next Tuesday.

Have not had a whole lot of time to carefully check all the connections (I had done this before though) but everything seems to be fine. I think I need another LED.

Replaced LEDs, works like a charm!
