Title: ipad output to 44.1K SP/DIF
Post by: peter on January 21, 2012, 09:28:21 AM
I have been unsuccessfully searching for "something" that will take ipad output to 44.1K SP/DIF with BNC.
Reason is that i am using a Curcio tube DAC that requires 44.1K SP/DIF with BNC and no MP3 file format.
The RCA to BNC adapter is not the problem, following explains further.
I will proceed with maybe a lot of trivial and already known technical info you are aware of.
I would like to rip CD's to take songs i like and save them to a "something".
Download songs from internet and save to something via itunes.
Long term here, the CD's i believe go away.
Generate a play list and save to a backup device.
With that said,
i want to use my Curcio tube DAC and  integrate with  the  Foreplay III

any advise??
thnx

Have you looked at the Pure I-20?  It does have a 24/192 dac onboard, but also spdif and toslink outputs that bypass the internal dac and analog output.  Made by Flip Video and sells for $99 retail.  Also comes with a remote control.

HTH,

Jim

How about this from Cambridge Audio

I've been using the Apple Camera kit(USB) to a DAC
