Title: Untapped source for VT52?
Post by: ironbut on March 27, 2012, 01:58:09 PM
Came across this interesting article today.
If you're offended by the sight of a woman's bared breasts,.. well, I just don't know what to say!

Nice picture of a Ampex 350(?) too.

Damn, that looks like fun! Er, uh, I mean, nice little bit of research, Steve. I'll put it on the list of future kits...

Nice ta know that doing anything and everything to loose a few pounds isn't an 20th-21st century invention!

That site is run by Chris Sanchez who also runs Gold Coast Recorders. It's well worth spending a little time exploring the site for stuff like the discussion under "Magnecord Tape Recorders". Great photo of Bert Whyte standing in the Fine Recording truck and a short discussion of early stereo recording.
Also, lots of little projects for studios and musicans.
Very entertaining and informative.

Enjoy!
