Title: Any Bottleheads own a HiFI Man HM-601?

Hello, my Cowon J3 went belly up on me the other day, in the market for a new PMP. Interested in the HIFIMan HM-601, I am open to other suggestions though. My library is all Flac, so not interested in Idevices. I used the Cowon with a Headroom portable micro amp and Phiaton MS400s. Basically, sound quality is the most important factor, battery life not a big deal. I researched this at a few of the other pertinent sites, but it is hard to wade through all the fanboyism and flamejobs for fun. Figure I would get some honest and informed opinions here.

I have the HM602 and HM801 and love the way both of these sound. Make sure you buy the correct 32 Gb sd card class 4 so it functions at its best. I know you said not interested in iDevices but if you rockbox them you can play flac w/o any issues. A third option would be an older iRiver H120 or H140 modified with either a 64 Gb CF card or a larger hard drive (80 Gb or 120 Gb respectively). Good luck.

Miguel, thanks for your reply. I think I am leaning towards the 8 gb 601. I used a class 4 card with the Cowon so I am good there.
