Guys,
I'm having a bit of trouble on my first voltage reading on my Paramount. Would anyone be able to suggest where I should start to looking for an issue on my wiring, please?
My B6 reading is 355 volts DC. Expected is 300 volts DC.
From the manual:
Reconnect the black negative lead of the volt-ohm meter to the ground buss at terminal 18. Connect the red positive lead to pin B6 of the nine pin socket. Make sure that it does not exceed 345 volts. It should drop from about 345 volts to 300 volts after about 20-30 seconds as the hybrid regulator talks over.
If it reads higher than 350 volts immediately shut it off and reinspect your wiring. Continued operation with this terminal reading over 350 volts will destroy several components in the circuit.
Thanks a bundle...

Hello John,
What do you see for voltage at Kreg on the B side?
Do you have that tiny jumper from breg to Bb?

Does the heater light up?

Problem solved! 299.8 volts DC at B6 now. The problem was simple...I had put a 5687 tube in, not a 5670. ::)
Thanks for the quick questions...you guys are the best!
John
EDIT: All measurements within 5% (most exactly right) on the "left" mono block. I couldn't wait...it makes beautiful music! I guess I know what I'll be doing tomorrow night...finishing up the "right" mono block. Thanks guys, this is really exciting! John
