Title: Analog Man
Post by: kgoss on August 25, 2012, 01:25:02 AM
A friend of mine heard this on the radio the other day and immediately thought of me.  I don't know why  :)

I'm a big Joe Walsh fan. I love seein all the old fogies in the crowd! Great time to be an aging boomer!

I think I'll create a new station on Pandora "old fogie radio" and see what turns up ;D

This is a nice CD which I recently borrowed, it is a shame 'But I Try' which was from an old tape Joe had cut (IIRC) is not on the vinyl.  I'm slowly starting to put together an Analog system so I just might buy the vinyl AND the Deluxe CD (with But I Try)

That was great! I'm listening to it with a big shit eating grin on my face when I notice my wife looking at me as if I'd gone wiggy.

I had no idea he was still making music.  For a while he seemed like he would be one of the Eagles to die first, but he seems to be looking well and performing music good for as old as he is.  He still has his voice, which is rare.  When hearing most artists in their old age try to rock out it just makes me cringe.

I thought the same about his voice, and I too cringe at the old rockers that should have quit long ago.  IMO, David Gilmour is another that has aged quite nicely, voice and guitar both.  YMMV

I'm starting to think I need to dig up all my old vinyl, buy more (Analog Man, Gdansk...), and pull the trigger on a Stereomour.  Since my AV receiver has no phono in, now I need a Seduction too  :o .  Will it ever end??
