Title: lost left chanel on Seduction
Post by: denti alligator on September 07, 2012, 12:07:37 PM
I'll swop tubes and I have another set, so I'll try these, too. But assuming it's still out after I've tried this what's the next step or two for finding the problem?

I should note that at first I thought it was the interconnect, since when I twisted it a little the sound came back, but then got crackly and for a few minutes was going in and out. I thought for sure it was these new right angle plugs I got. But then it stopped working, even without those plugs.  Tubes still glowing.

Check the wire connections to the RCA jacks.

Not the tubes.

But now I'm really confused, because when I removed the right angle plugs it worked fine. Then I switched the right angle plugs, but no difference ... Weird. Then I removed them again and suddenly it didn't work for a few seconds, but now it does again.  WTF. The underside looked fine. Nothing loose.

Touch up the solder joints on the bad channel RCA jacks.

Definitely those right angle adapters. I've ordered some Audio Quest ones.
