Title: Balanced Output
Post by: jimiclow on December 06, 2012, 12:11:36 PM
I'm starting to build the Sex. I don't intend to use it as a headphone amp so there would be no headphone jack. This means that the wires from the OT go directly to the the speaker terminals.
I want to have balanced output.
Please refer to my drawing, I want to make sure I'm wiring it right.
Thanks.

Jimi,

If your diagram looks like anything like what PB said in this thread:

You should be good to go.

Just eliminate the wires to the headphone jack, and place the resistors somewhere else (inside of binding posts?).

HTH,

Jim

Yes, that is the correct way to wire the transformers for balanced speaker output.

Thanks Jim and Paul!
I was able to avail of the free impedance switch last month but I don't want a complicated layout since I'm just going to use 1 impedance for my speakers.
