I was staying up late listening to my vinyl collection, and got to Raising Sands, and the quickie made it thru that heavy bass and it sorted it out beautifully (weighty not wimpy) but still having heft. Love the quickies sense of space and togetherness.
Just came to the conclusion that before you buy that multi thousand dollar pre-amp, you might build yourself a quickie, so that way you don't @#$! yourself into buying something that might not be worth it.
my 2 cents worth.

Hey Mark - +2 on that. I love that album as well. I downloaded a 24/96 of it from HDTracks. Fantastic album to show off your subwoofer. The Quickie does go low in a very nice way. I'm using it as a buffer stage/preamp for my subwoofer. I fleshes out the bass quite nicely, even crossed over at 60hz!
