Well, the power tube got here early and it was bad tube. I left the t1's at the office, but giving it a listen from the dt990's. I think I can finally get to like these cans.

There are other things posted there, stickys, that you should read over to help in your trouble shooting.  There is also his "Tips On Buying Used" thread that implores you to get the manual.  But Bottlehead will happily sell one to you too.

Thank you, Grainger. I will read on the topics suggested.

I was hoping it'd be a bad tube, but seldom do problems - even small ones- in life turn out to have simple and predictable answers. I will bask in this small victory.
