I was asked by my pastor to build him a system, but he wants a little more volume than my system can deliver. I am currently using Orcas and was thinking of using Hoyt Bedford micro towers for his system. Can anyone tell me how loud the Hoyt Bedfords are with the stereomour? If they are not noticeably louder I may have to find a system with more output power. I would consider the Paramount with BeePre, but I think that may be a little too expensive.

Hi Randy:
A new speaker is coming out that may work well - the Spatial Trilogy T1. It has the same rated sensitivity as the Micro Towers (97dB) but is an open baffle design. OBs energize the room differently than box speakers and may provide the extra volume that's required. If the price of $1495/pair fits the budget, they would be worth looking into. Use this link:

Astonishing dynamics. Well, there you go.

I think those only exist as computer renderings...

Well... According to http://myhometheater.homestead.com/splcalculator.html, I should get 8 to 9 db of SPL increase using the Hoyt Bedfords over the Orcas. I think the added efficiency will be enough. Does anyone have any experience with Klipsch speakers. I was looking at the KF 26/28 or the RB 81. I am leaning toward the Hoyt Bedfords.

After speaking to the owner of Marathon Speakers, I have ordered a pair of Hoyt Bedford Monitors. I also placed an order for a Stereomour. I enjoy building this amp very much so I may be building additional units in the future for some more of my friends. Thanks for making such a great product.

You can look into Hawthorne Audio also..... similar principle with open baffle eminence driver and compression tweeter in an efficient package...
