I'm thinking that maybe this wire got left out of the kit, and I'm going to the big box store to get some. If it's insulated, rated at at least 200 VAC (for the PT1 primary) and 14 gauge, I should be good to go, right?

I suggest solid and smaller than 14 AWG. It is probably 20 AWG or smaller. You have to fit several in some terminals, that is my concern. You will probably not find anything rated under 300V so anything you find will do well.
Of course the Queen would send you some Monday if you call and tell her.

Did your kit come with no wire?

Did your kit come with no wire?
Yessir, it came with shielded twisted pair and some very light gauge solid signal wire, but nothing that looked suitable for transformer leads.

That's okay; I didn't want to bother her (or Josh) over something like this. I cannibalized a generic 18 ga. Chinese generic power cord. You were right; getting the stranded through the PT1 eyelets was like threading a needle.
Best,
Mike

The solid core wire is very expensive, premium Teflon coated wire. I would suggest using it, it is in every Seduction I have ever laid hands on. (Also, the shielded twisted pair carries more current and is of similar size)

Okay, I guessed wrong. The pictures in the (old) Seduction manual from '02 show thick transformer leads. I thought something was missing.

The original Seduction power transformer was a (noisy) off the shelf unit, which had flying leads instead of solder tabs.
Often times a transformer winder will stock just a few sizes of wire to economize on inventory (it doesn't seem like a big deal until you consider that you need lots of colors for each size), hence the excessive wire girth.

Well, now that I've used some 18 ga. stranded, should I try to undo what I've done and start over with the teflon insulated signal wire? I hope I don't have to, but it is what it is.

If you used stranded for the power transformer primary wiring, that's not the end of the world. We don't provide stranded with any of our kits (except the power cord and the Tode) because it doesn't want to stay where you put it.
If you put the stranded wire in other places, then you may want to consider removing it.

Thanks for your help, Paul.
