Title: DIY Raspberry Pi
Post by: John EH on April 02, 2013, 10:57:21 AM
Always been somewhat of a tinkerer and went through a heavy Bottlehead phase a few years back.  Now I'm most intrigued with the Raspberry Pi computer ($35).  I have two of them.  I'm thinking the new one I may try to use as a media server or Internet Radio feeding one of my Bottlehead systems.  Curious if anyone has done this.

I have a Squeezebox but the audio output is not satisfactory or that is to say I bought the wrong version of the Squeezebox.

Anyone here tinker with the Raspberry Pi for audio yet?

Hi John,

Check out the thread in the other gear/digital section of this forum.  One guy is already using the RP as a fileserver, and I'm just starting to work on a streamer for a dac myself.  Note that right now the RP only seems to support 16/44.1 playback but the RP foundation has hired an expert to fix the problem.
