I always find that it is preferable to solder a short 2 inch wire [1/2 inch stripped at both ends] to solder tabs before mounting them on a metal chassis.
In my experience, it is very easy to get a cold solder joint when trying to heat a solder tab once it is attached to a cold metal chassis.

This is a good topic to bring up. If you loosen the hardware a little bit, the heat transfer efficiency from the solder tab to the chassis plate will drop drastically, and it will take solder as it should.
I find this particularly applicable with the Eros ground tab lug.
