Title: Remote control?
Post by: denti alligator on June 18, 2013, 08:12:10 AM: So I'd like to be able to control the volume on my SEX amp remotely. What are my options? I don't want to pay a lot. I'm thinking the has to be a simple, cheap DIY way that won't affect sound. Maybe some kind of small toy or device meant for use with something else that could be rigged manually to the volume knob? Anyone?

My source is a Raspberry Pi computer with a DAC. The music is played through Logitech Media Server. I use an app on my iPhone called "iPeng" to control my music and volume. There is a free app as well called Squeezeox.

Why mod the input on the amp and possibly mess up the sound when your source probably has a remote control (i.e. CD player, computer, etc.)?
