Using stock tubes I was wondering how hot the tubes tend to get.
-
Uncomfortably hot, especially the 6080.

Thank you. Ya all the voltages are correct just checking to make sure tubes are functioning properly. I can't keep my hand on it for more than one second without it becoming a bit painful
-
We never intended for the user to use the amp with their hand on the tube. I would suggest not doing that.

Mine got hot enough that I eventually decided I shouldn't sit on it anymore. Took me three extended listening sessions to figure that out, however...

thanks its also normal for the aluminum plate to act as a heat sink as well right?
-
The tubes, the power transformer, and some of the resistors in the Crack are warm when they operate. The tubes, power transformer, and some of the resistors in the Crack are also touching and/or close to the aluminum plate, so yes, it gets warm.
