When I built my Stereomour I left out the volume pot and used a couple of high quality 100K resistors in it's place. I have an LDR volume control (currently external) that "emulates a 100K-125K ohm, 2 channel, LPad voltage divider". My question is, would I be better off removing the 100K ohm resistors or simply leave it as is. It sounds good now but it seems logical that I would be better off removing them.
Thanks,
Ed

How long are the cables going from the LDR to your Stereomour?
I'd replace the 100K resistors in the Steremour with 470K's if you plan to keep this setup.

Thanks for the reply CB, ultimately I am going to mount the LDR inside the Stereomour housing, so the cabling will be inches, would you still use 470Ks? Right now there is about 6' of interconnect.

When you mount the LDR into the Stereomour, you can remove the resistors all together.
6 feet of cable is way, way too much cable for a passive control with such high output impedance. I'd recommend trying to get down to more like 6 inches.

Thanks again. The 6' is very temporary just to verify the unit works and that it didn't do anything to hurt the sound.
I appreciate the answers.
