Original SEX kit.
Hardly if ever use headphones on it. Yesterday I bought new cans SONY MDR-V6 and plugged them in. I swear the speakers shorted. Today plugging in the headphones still outputs sound to the speakers.
Feature or bug?
I'm hitting the manual now. I think the speakers are supposed to short.

Speakers are definitely meant to short.
Maybe take a look at the wiring of the headphone socket to make sure none of the solder joints broke / disconnected when you plugged in the headphones

Original SEX kit.
The original SEX kit was a pair of 6DN7 monoblocks, and there have been several revisions since.
Maybe you have 2.0, which has 124 Ohm resistors across the headphone jack, in which case plugging in headphones will not disconnect the speakers.

There ya go. I have 2.0 and if it isn't supposed to short the speakers I am good!
Crap. That means I was ROCKING at work yesterday. Surprised the Marines didn't come smack the civilian.
Thanks. Will just unplug the speakers.

Yep. I went and asked the Marines if my music was a little loud yesterday and they said it was a lot loud yesterday. They seem to be semi amused by my singing as well.

Apologies for missing the "Original" bit in your description - I must be a bit too excited at having just finished my SEX 2.1

No sweat. Apparently I didn't get it right either. ;D
