Not something you want to listen to on your system all day, but it's cool just to think that someone went to the trouble to capture these - sounds of famous road racing motorcycles, including the amazing Moto Guzzi V8 -

That's amazing. I one spent over an hour searching for and listening to clips of Honda's six cylinder GP bikes of the late 60's. Here's one of my favorites. It doesn't get topped out in this video, but the run up and the downshifts are pretty great.

This gives me hope. Here is my brand new 2013 Triumph Bonneville T100 Jet Black.

Right out of the sixties. It worked then and it now works again. Sorta like vacuum tubes eh?
I was kinda distressed re the "signal to noise" ratio thread. I just got this bike and I was going to post it here, but then thought better not. Don't want to add to the noise. Thought about never posting here again. I really have no use for uni-dimensional forums. I like to get to know people for other than their "forum purpose" interests.
Well, here's my new bike. It makes it's own glorious sound, no recording needed.
If you don't like it, please delete my account so I won't have to worry about this stuff again.

That's making an assumption that I feel is not justified. A couple of guys were hijacking technical threads where people were trying to sort out kit build issues or some other technical topic, with a comedy routine that a lot of participants found tiring. So I asked for that to stop and that we please keep the technical threads clear of water cooler chat so that they are more useful as an archive for other users. That doesn't really have anything to do with Off Topic posts in the general forum. If you read the description of the General forum you can see that it is the place for general off topic discussion and yes, even tedious banter. That's a very cool bike. Thanks for posting the picture! When I feel like mine is looking a little more like what I have in mind I'll post a few pics.

Cool. Good to know.
I went through the "general forum" posts and didn't find much that had to do with things other than audio or construction of audio related stuff.
I thought I was part of the noise for posting that over stuffed hippy rooms sounded good.
You guys are gonna love my pics of bacon & eggs - :)

That was fun! Thanks Dan! I would have loved to hear some vintage Duc's in that list. I've dreamed if owning a 50's MV4, what a beast!

YEEOW! Never planned to be the poster child for PITA, but here I am as one the examples of improper behavior. What happened ended weeks ago. Consider this my last post. "Igor, pack your things, clean the place up, and don't forget to turn out the lights."
FWIW, Mike, a long time ago, I considered this very model and year of bike to purchase for myself. You did great. Enjoy the ride.
