Title: hot faceplate and transformer
Post by: mithrandir39 on October 30, 2013, 02:14:59 PM
Just a newbie here.  finished my Crack this morning, and everything is in order: even levels, no hum, utterly silent.

Just want to know if the aluminum plate acts as a heat sink for the tubes, wicking away heat from the components?  The transformer is quite hot also, but I'm going to guess all this is normal since its a tube amp.  And no, there's no magic smoke!
