Title: high efficiently speaker that are not a single driver
Post by: guf on November 24, 2013, 06:30:45 AM
it seems that most people opt for a single full range driver when building a high efficiently speaker. But how do you do it for a 3 way speaker? Like this guy, another north west local.

i heard these speaker on a full analog system and was blown away. Not sure if it was the sensitive speakers or the vinyl, or the tubes, the expensive record player set up, but i was really impressed.  How do you build something like those speakers? any ideas?

A lot of the Triangle speakers are sensitive enough for SET amplifiers.  I used Triangle Zerius speakers for years, till I bought Orcas.

The older Klipsch speakers also do well on next to no power.  Then there are current Pi speakers, older JBL and Altec speakers too.
