Guess what I hooked 'em to?

Guess how it sounded?

If you guessed "dandy", you are correct.

:-)

I get the sensation that I am falling when I look at your speakers.

What's on top of the Quads? Are you driving the Quads with the Paramours?

Those look like Altec 604's in a giant cabinet behing the Quads.

Yes, Quad ESL-57s being driven by the Paramours... worked better than any reasonable person would expect.

The big monsters are indeed 604E Duplexes (equipped with the MasteringLabs crossovers) ensconced in the boxes designed by "Billfort" http://www.wardsweb.org/Billfort/
The only juxtaposition of the Quads and the Duplexes in the photo is spatial ;-)

... and, finally, any vertiginous distortion is strictly due to the very-wide angle Sigma 10-20 mm zoom lens used on a "DX" format Nikon DSLR :-)
