Title: Re: Crack Grounding, Tracing The Signal and Power Supply Common/Ground
Post by: Bruce65 on December 30, 2013, 04:14:34 AM
Hello,,

Bruce65 Just finished a Crack for my Son but one Channel is dead.

I have checked all Wiring and solder Joints and I believe everything is correct.

Resistance All Check Good,,but Voltages are somewhat OFF.

I have one question: LED's on the Preamp Tube; Shouldn't they both be lit?  I have one lit and one out.

Both Tubes Glow in two spots,  Any way to Check signal path? need O'Scope?

Bruce

Bruce,
Post any voltages that are off by more than 10 -15% off.  That is the best way to start diagnoses.

Cheers,
Geary

If you have any concerns about signal common and grounding the instructions to trace it is in my posted sticky in the Crack folder.
