Heij there, I've just completed my Stereomour in a 19 hours soldering challenge! Was a ton of fun!
I have 2 questions and would be happy to get some advise.
1: I noticed weird stuff on the PC-3 plate choke components. I assume it is some kind of resin or epoxy glue. As I really don't like the dirty look of that stuff compared to the rest of my build, I'm thinking of getting rid of it. Can I just sand it of and spray paint the units completely? Here is an image for your understanding.
3: How can I hook up a subwoofer to the amp? I am really new into audio equipment, sorry if this question is super newbie-like. I'm just wondering how to do that and what type ob subs would work.
Thank you and have a nice day!
sven.

To remove the varnish i did the following,
1) Applied paint remover with q-tips, this will remove the varnish and get you back to bare metal. Be careful not to get any remover or water inside the choke, i advise you mask off the rest with masking tape.
2) Sand them to nice brushed metal finish and clear coat. (400 grit sandpaper)

Sub woofers often have a line level and speaker level input. You are ready for the speaker level input. Just run a new set of speaker wires from each channel to the sub.
Since you didn't mention a sub make, you can be certain that the one you buy will have speaker level inputs.

The question of line-;eve; outputs for subs has come up several times - try a search of the forum.

I did that. But i assume i didn't know what to search for and therefore couldn't find it. Thanks for your replies!

Wow - apologies for that, I could not find anything through the search either.
Until it's fixed, here's the most recent thread on this subject:
