edit: not a concern anymore due to time.

at the beginning I had random cracking/popping but after poking and finding the responsible solder places (were under the big tube, B5 and B2) it is gone by 96% or so (still have to find or simply resolder all the other places I guess).
It's entirely likely that this process isn't quite finished. Does the humming change when you poke around with a chopstick?
-
No, while I poked to solve the cracking problem the humming didn't change. Also while doing the cracking part I also partially resolded some solder places to make sure everything is soldered (not everything was soldered, but now is).
If I go only with the Crack and HD600 into other room the humming is the same (so definitely not the notebook or so).
I can make a picture if that helps.

Post a picture. I'm interested in seeing your heater wires and routing. If you turn it off and it is silent till the high voltage dies it sounds like a heater impressed noise.

That doesn't work unless I am a member. Look in my folder (Grainger's Corner) at the FAQ thread. It lists two ways of including a picture in your post.

I still couldn't see your pictures, or download them.
It could be just me.
(I tried from work today and K-C blocked the site.)

Many people, myself included, don't download links from strangers on the Internet. Particularly executables, but also archives of any format (such as zips, tarballs, et cetera). Post images on an image hosting site, or attach them to a post on the forum itself.

Never mind. My FAQ thread is truncated before getting to how to post.

I tried to view the pics on all of the sites that you used. Not willing to go through several steps and download unknown files. Please use a site like imgur, picasso or photobucket. You can attach a file that can opened in your post , as well.
Cheers,
