Title: Pair of S.E.X. amps as monoblocks
Post by: Karl5150 on March 05, 2014, 07:46:53 AM
I will admit to not scouring all the posts to see if this has been discussed. If it has kindly point me in the right direction:
What is involved in converting an existing S.E.X. 2.1 into and building one from scratch as a monoblock?
Is there a sonic downside to such?

The simplest and most reliable approach (IMHO) is to parallel the inputs (at the volume control wiper - center terminals) and wire the outputs in series. This will double the design load impedance, so you will have 8-16-32-64 ohms (no 4 ohm load available).
