Title: Pre Build Question
Post by: Guy Boisvert on March 16, 2014, 11:19:51 AM
I'm about to start the Eros kit and am wondering if I could install a "mini chassis"  to the rear of the wooden base. On that chassis, I would put the four RCA Jacks and the phono ground post. The mini chassis would, of course, be grounded/connected to the main chassis.

I would prefer to run my cabling to the rear.

Can't see why this would not work....but safer to ask.

Perhaps I should have posted this on the Eros board ? Anyway, that is my question, whether asked here or elsewhere.

You can build the Eros stock, then turn it around 180 degrees to obtain what you're looking for.

I wouldn't recommend running a bunch of cabling under the power transformer.  Shielding and grounding will also become complicated if you move the ground post.  (Especially moving it outside the amplifier chassis)

Good advice ! I'm glad I asked.
