Title: Imagine my frustration, and a question
Post by: rlb6v6 on April 14, 2014, 04:35:55 AM
Six months researching and deciding, three weeks checking the "Order Updates" two or three times a day, four evenings with the soldering iron, Saturday afternoon the final connections soldered, resistance checks good, voltage checks good, interconnects connected, one and a half speakers connected....and the power goes out til Sunday morning!  Even my wife was ticked!
Now to the question.  Sounds fantastic even before burn in, with the exception that the low frequencies are a little too laid back.  Is this an area that will change with burn in?
The FR speakers I am using have satisfied me with my Fisher 500B, although I prefer every other aspect of the Steromour, even at five hours.
I guess I am wondering if I should be shopping for Active subs as recommended on this forum.

Bob,

Congratulations on a perfect storm.

All sorts of things will happen in the first 100 hours of burn in.  The caps form so do the cathodes of your tubes.  Just keep it running with music playing for 4 days.

I expect you will be more than happy with the Stereomour after that.
