N.B. This is for the Speedball kit.
Before I get in touch to request a replacement, I just want to check this isn't an equivalent.
Instead of the 150K 2W metal film resistor (brown, green, yellow, gold), I've received this resistor:

Everything else is packed as expected so I'm able to do everything but solder these in place and install.
Anyone able to help?

Alternatively, is there a way I can test with a multimeter to see if it's an eqiuvalent without finishing the job only to find that it isn't?

It's a mis pack. Email your contact information to replacementparts at bottlehead dot com.
The way to check with a multimeter would be to set your meter to resistance and measure with one probe on each lead, but that is definitely a 2.49KΩ resistor.

Thanks for clarifying.
As I live in the UK, I think it'd be easier and quicker for me to just buy an equivalent 150K 2W resistor online. Presumably, that's no issue?
Apologies if this is a n00b question, I'm a n00b.

Well, definitely easier for me ;-)
The stock part is available from Farnell:

Cheers. I'll get on it.
Not a wasted day, in any case, as getting my gear out means I've also finally put the Blue Alps in. Crack sounding great.

I had the same issue with my recent Speedball order:
