Title: BeePre and Crack
Post by: Horatio on August 27, 2014, 09:53:37 AM
Hi, I have just ordered a BeePre and Paramount kits (excited does not being to describe it). I already have a Crack and I was wondering what the best way would be to hook it up and run it with the BeePre?

Is it as straight forward as running an RCA output connection to the Crack from the BeePre alongside the Paramounts or should I be looking at splitting out a line level out to the Crack before it reaches the BeePre.

Apologies in advance if I am missing something obvious...

Many thanks,

Bill

Bee Pre has holes for two pairs of outputs. One has XLR jacks that can easily be changed to D style RCA jacks like the other pair.

Just so I am clear in my own mind, this would then mean I would run with two 'live' outputs from the BeePre at all times with one to the Paramount and one to the Crack - I am assuming the outputs are not selectable on the BeePre?

To use the headphones on the Crack and not the speakers via the Paramount would the recommended use be switching off the Paramounts and simply turning on the Crack?

Many thanks,

Bill
