Title: Changing input load
Post by: 8452 on May 05, 2010, 07:28:19 AM
I have a C4 Seduction that I am using with a Benz Micro Ace HO. The manufacturer recommends a 1000 ohm load. Which resister do I change to get there? Assume ones attached to input jacks but want to make sure.

You are correct, the input loading resistors attach to the input jacks and solder to the ground plane. Usually cartridges have a range of input loads they like, so you might consider buying a pair of small 50k or 100k trimmers so you can try different values.

How are things sounding with the 47k resistors?

I found this:

It indicates greater than 1000 ohms.  So that gives a wide range.  Have reviews suggested a 1k ohm resistor?

It sounds a rough right now, but its still breaking in. Highs are a little forward. I've seen blog reviews suggesting 1000-1500. I think I'll try the trimmer idea after it breaks in. Thanks
