Title: I found some copper sheets...
Post by: EarWorm on October 01, 2014, 01:01:36 PM
i was cleaning out an area of my garage when I came upon some copper flashing I used a while back to fashion copper fence caps for a fence I built.

First thing I thought of was maybe I could use these sheets somehow in a crack build with the larger chassis I'm going to acquire.

Sheets are 9" x 7".  I Have about 12 of them.

Some kind of sheilding?  Any ideas?

Maybe I can fashion some type of bell covers for my Hammond chokes or a DIY housing for the Transformer.   Shouldn't be harder than fashioning the boxes I already made for the posts. See photos

How thick is the material?

Not sure of the thickness but it isn't that flexable.  It's from a roll of copper flashing for roofing.  Really need some tools to bend it correctly.   You can see from the box example it's pretty solid.

Has to be scored and then cut with metal snips to be worked properly.

It's been hanging around for a decade.  Now it calls for the Crack...
