Just fired up my newly built Stereomore (3 watt design). Right now I am just running it into my B&W 803 speakers (90db efficiency) and at full volume from the source (PS audio Perfectwave DAC) and on the amp, it has a pleasing sound and comfortable but not floor stomping volume (of course) like I get through my usual Plinius SA-102 at 125 watts. I am thinking of building some 7 PI speakers which are corner horns with 101 db efficiency but I would like to know what others use.

Sorry, I meant "Stereomour"

Lowther DX-4 in medallion cabinet with Rythmik subs built into the base. Room is about 16 by 33 feet. They fill the room with 'room' to spare. :)

My Custom Bottlehead 2A3 amp is a lot like the Steromour but with MQ TFA 2004 cobalt laced outputs. 3.5 watts and driving Blumenstein Orcas + BUF Subs into a room with 2200 Cuft. I use from 6 to 13 clicks on an IAG transformer volume control equipped linestage that has 23 positions total. I think that the subs help by allowing the Orcas to not work too hard in the bass region. Xover is 75 Hz. YMMV.
Cheers, Hank

I'm using Paramounts, but since I have them configured for 45 the wattage is actually less than a 2a3 Stereomour. Klipsch like the Cornwall mentioned or Chorus II are good options. I use Altec. Had Valencias which were marvelous. For double the money (but not double the improvement IMHO) I now have Model 19. Anyway, for great sounding, high effeciency speakers, Altec are a wonderful choice.
I have heard Grainger's Orcas. They are wonderful as well.

klipsch heresy sounds great on my setup with 45 tubes. I also replaced the caps in the heresy's.

Blumenstein Orca's with Dungeness Subs... Sounds great...

Another vote for Blumenstein Orca/Dungeness. I added Fostex T90A tweeters to fill in my hearing loss.

I'm running the Stereomour into a pair of restored JBL 4320 Studio Monitors at the moment. There 16ohm rather than 8 and they do seem to be a good match for the Stereomour. Efficiency is 96dB and Bass is excellent.
I am yet to try it with the Quad ESL panels. It won't be loud ,but it should be pretty amazing for classical guitar or string quartet. I'll try it out over the Christmas break.

I am using a pair of Tekton Lores ( 98 db/m) for the Stereomour. They are very easy to drive and I converted the amp from 2A3 to 45 using the same speakers - no problem although I complement it with a sub for the latter.
-
I also have the Lores by Tekton Design with my 2013 Stereomour (2A3).
The sound fill my room quite nicely (15'x 16'x 9' ceiling).
I listen to Jazz -vocals, Classic rock, (90% on Vinyl) :)
I enjoy listening to this pairing very much (addicting).

Upgraded Dahlquist DQ-10's. Volume level is surprisingly good with these.

Whilst I am still yet to drag the ESLs upstairs (Sorry Grainger , I will do it soon) I have been listening a lot to a pair of early Rogers LS3/5A near field monitors on the Stereomour and they really compliment each other. They are set up in the near field about 7 feet apart, not a huge amount of bass, but female vocals are breathtaking . I'm using Kate Bush and Linda Ronstadt as my reference from CD on a Revox B226 Signature model with Philips TDA1541 S1 single crown DAC straight into the Stereomour. I've had these speakers for about 15 years, usually running them on Quad II amps, but I am hearing an amazing sound stage and depth and subtle detail.
I am surprised just how good they sound together in this setup.
I am currently listening to Daniel Barenboim playing Moonlight Sonata ( sitting in the dark of course ), enjoying the gentle sound washing over me with the warm glow of 2A3s lighting the room. Nice.
My 10c worth

I also have a pair of esl 57s that have intended to use with BH amps forever.
Right now I am using Western Electric 755As in sealed boxes with Paramours. I have become addicted to chamber music and classic jazz and there's absolutely no way I could use more volume than what I get.
I have also Paramours (five ea) in the HT system with Pi 4 speakers.
In the past I used 2A3 Paramounts (3 pairs) to triamp a horn system. Dynamics ruled and the rca field coil mids were delicious. Ten channels of BH amplification (including the BeePre). That system is not in use right now but I am no touching it and am sure will be used again in the future.
