Am I going to damage anything in my Stereomour if turn it on and off at the power strip? I leave the volume at 3/4, don't start music until it's on, and usually have music playing when I turn off the power strip. I do it like this so I can control it with a remote.
I would hate to hurt my baby.

I don't see how that would be a problem.

All my analog components are powered by a PS Audio P300. I turn everything on and off by it, just like a power strip. I've done it for at least 3 years and there have been no problems.
There is a "turn on sequence" that this ignores. There would normally be a turn on thump (small) allowing my preamp to warm up before my Paramours (same as Stereomours) but I have a shorting switch that ties the transformer end of the Parafeed cap to ground. I switch this off after 15-30s and there is no sound at all.
If you are not using a preamp you have nothing to worry about.

That is one small difference between the Paramour II monoblocks and the Stereomour. That switch can go to ground in the Paramour II, but should go to the top of the 2A3 bias resistors in the Stereomour.

Thanks, that is V-S's "Other way to Parafeed" circuit IIRC. Some iron could do it and some can't, back in the old days.
I used it extensively this weekend. Poster Paully was visiting and we did some tube rolling.
