Title: GR Research LGK 1.0 - 3" Fullrange
Post by: HF9 on January 08, 2015, 05:19:38 AM
What?!?!? Three inches, that's crazy!

I just built these and was pretty pleased with the result. They aren't quite as sensitive as the Fostex full rangers I've tried, but are still quite nice.

The kit is available from GR Research (http://gr-research.com/lgk10kit.aspx) and the flat pack is at SubAssemble (http://www.subassemble.com/product/lgk/).

See the full build here (http://www.diyaudioblog.com/2015/01/gr-research-lgk-10-full-range-speaker.html).

What amp are you using to drive them? Looks like a nice DIY option for a near field or desktop system.

I'm using my Dynaco ST-35 / PAS preamp combo with these. So 17.5 watts x 2, or half of that in triode mode.
