After a very long time - and I'm back on Bottlehead forum.
After a house move - I'm finally setting up my BH system.
However - I have no idea where I have left the build manuals.
With an important dinner party tonight - I need to get some music playing.
I need your help.
Does anyone have the Straight 8 crossover V1 schematic.
I have a 0.68 foil inductor and a 3.3uf capacitor.
If not - How would I wire these up.
+ve terminal to 0.68uf inductor - to woofers?
+ve terminal to 3.3uf capacitors to tweeters?
All help welcome - otherwise I may have to start singing.
Hmm.... Now thinking about that soft start the amps... if I can find my soldering iron.

Hi,
Here is a screenshot from lalena.com, it is a basic first order crossover. Hopefully this will help.

Thank you Dave
That is exactly what I need.
That's why I love Bottlehead.

This version has different values. I hope posting the page is allowed and will remove it if necessary.

Cheers Ray.
Well both - I'm up and running.
The FP3 and Paramounts - and Straight 8's are making glorious music.
Ironically - I found the instructions for the FP1, FP2, Paraglow, Paraglow 2, Parabees.
Pretty much every piece of kit I have grandfathered.
The current setup ( manuals on CD IIRC ) - nothing.
Sod's law.

Scott, it's great to have you back!
I think PJ has posted the V3 crossover elsewhere on the forum.

Hi Scott, great to have you back!
When you get some time to scrounge the parts, here's the V3 crossover. It's a definite step up sonically.

Remember that the farther away you can position the S8s from the listening position the more coherent the image will be.

Glad to hear it's working! Enjoy 8)
