Title: Bottlehead PT-5 preamp transformer
Post by: vetmed on April 12, 2015, 10:19:26 AM
The product description says high voltage secondary rated 135 volts, 53mADC, designed to work in a voltage doubler circuit. Does this mean that if I use it in a voltage doubler circuit my maximum current will be 53 mA? I actually bought one of these to use in a phono circuit but I am not so sure now what the ratings mean :-[ TIA

Eros consumes 53mADC with the doubler. I agree, the wording is a little confusing. It's hard to be perfectly clear without being hopelessly complex!

Thanks for clearing that up, I might have figured it out if I could find my Eros manual  ::)
