Title: Best output impedance for Audeze LCD-2.2?
Post by: crooner12 on May 07, 2015, 08:50:30 AM
I'm getting the S.E.X. 2.1 amp and was wondering which output impedance fellow LCD-2.2 owners use.

The LCD-2 is rated at 70 ohms, so guessing 32 would be ideal?

My hunch would be that 8 ohms might be the best balance of low noise floor and a high out impedance to load ratio to help keep the top end of the LCDs sounding open.

I called Audeze and they suggested 32 ohms. Easy solution: I just ordered the impedance switching kit! Will try to post impressions on my blog and YT channel once it's up and running.

That would be the best approach.
