Title: tight tube socket (Resolved)
Post by: malloy on November 05, 2015, 07:14:02 PM
Hi,

I just completed all the soldering and passed the resistance checks on my Crack build. I am having trouble inserting the 6080 tube into its socket. I am only able to insert about half of the pins into the socket. Is this normal? How do I do this without breaking it? It is tight.

Thanks!

Got it in with some (not so gentle) wiggling and rocking. I thought I broke it!  Passed all resistance and voltage checks. Will post some pics when I get the wood stained.

Woo-hah! Is it my imagination or did Grainer's comment disappear before I could reply?

It appears that Grainger has been removing some of his posts.
