Title: Problem on Reduction after CS4 upgrade
Post by: drlo on December 15, 2015, 10:01:53 AM
After the upgrading to the CS4 board I don't get any sound out.

The voltages in the terminals are the following
2-0V
18-86.3V
26-86.3V
31-0V

All the LEDs on the CS4 boards are lighted. However there are two LEDs under the tubes does not: A3-center and B9-B8 are not lighted. Does it mean the tubes are not on?

Try reheating the middle legs of each MJE-350.

Since you have appropriate voltages elsewhere, both tubes are "turned on", but I believe you have a flaky solder joint that's preventing the upgrade from working properly.

Also, if you don't pass the voltage checks, NEVER use any of our kits until things are sorted out.  Having 0V at those two terminals tells us that there's no sound, there's no need to verify that by putting your other equipment and your safety at risk.
